Day 1: Departure from Djerba - Douz - Tembaine

  • Pick up at 6:30 a.m. from your place of stay in Djerba.
     

  • 4x4 transfer to Douz.
     

  • Lunch in a restaurant in Douz.
     

  • Departure by the track, going around the Jbil park towards the mountain at Plateau de Tembaine.
     

  • Night in a Saharan camp in the great Erg Oriental.
     

  • Installation, free time, evening dinner by the fire and night in a comfortable private tent.

Day 2: Tembaine - Lake Houidath Erreched

  • Breakfast, free time in the desert.
     

  • Departure for the great Erg and Lake Houidath Erreched.
     

  • Lunch at the lake and free time in the oasis.
     

  • Preparation and installation of the bivouac.
     

  • Evening dinner by the fire and night in a private tent.

Day 3: Return to Tembaine - Picnic in the dunes

  • Quiet breakfast in the desert.
     

  • Departure for Tembaine mountain by another route.
     

  • Lunch on the way in the dunes in the form of a picnic.
     

  • Arrival in Tembaine.
     

  • Night in a Saharan camp in the great Erg Oriental.
     

  • Installation, free time, evening dinner by the fire and night in a comfortable private tent.

Day 4: Return to Douz - Djerba

  • Quiet breakfast in the desert.
     

  • Departure for the return to Douz.
     

  • Lunch in Douz.
     

  • Transfer to Djerba and drop off at your place of stay at the end of the afternoon.

From the early morning departure from Djerba, your immersion begins with a drive to Douz, often called the "gateway to the desert". After a typical lunch, we'll take the track towards Tembaine, a majestic mountain in the heart of the desert. Upon your arrival, the comfortable Saharan camp awaits you for an evening under a starry sky, with dinner and a vigil around the fire. On the second day, your journey will take you to the spectacular Houidath Erreched Lake, a hidden gem of the Sahara surrounded by golden dunes. Along the way, you'll pass through a variety of landscapes: towering dunes, sand plains, and expanses of pebbles. A picnic break in the heart of the desert will allow you to fully enjoy this unique atmosphere. Upon arrival, enjoy a soak in the lake's natural spring before settling in for an unforgettable night in a tent. In the following days, you will explore more of the wild landscapes of the Tunisian desert, returning to Tembaine by a different route. You will have the opportunity to contemplate the serenity of the dunes at sunrise and soak up the enchanting silence of the desert. Each stage of this tour highlights the raw and fascinating beauty of this exceptional landscape. At the end of the route, your return to Djerba will mark the conclusion of a memorable adventure, combining a change of scenery, discovery and moments of authenticity.
