Your adventure will begin early in the morning, with a 6:30am pick-up from your accommodation in Gabes.
Arrival in Douz around 9am, you will be greeted by your camel guide and his dromedaries, ready to take you on a unique experience in the heart of the desert.
Camel trek through the stunning dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental
You will pass through sand dunes, arid plains and picturesque oases, letting yourself be guided by the tranquility and beauty of the desert.
In the middle of the day, you will take a break for lunch and to regain your strength.
Take advantage of this moment to rest and enjoy a traditional meal prepared by your camel guide.
Traditional dinner and night in a bivouac under the desert sky
After lunch, you will continue your hike to the bivouac where you will spend the night.
Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the desert, with the soothing silence and the twinkling stars above you. A delicious dinner will be prepared for you, accompanied by traditional music and songs.
EXPLORING THE SAHARA: DUNES AND OASES
At sunrise, you will be awakened by the gentle sounds of the desert.
Enjoy an invigorating breakfast before resuming your camel trek.
Continue exploring the natural wonders of the desert, stopping to admire breathtaking panoramas and discovering the secrets of the local flora and fauna.
Your camel guide will share with you knowledge about the environment and culture of the region.
In the middle of the day, you will take a break for lunch and rest. Take advantage of these moments of relaxation to soak up the beauty of the desert and to share friendly moments with your guide and the other participants.
Return to Douz and end of the Saharan experience
After lunch you will resume your hike back to the starting point in Douz.
Along the way, you can still enjoy the breathtaking scenery and serene atmosphere of the desert.
In the late afternoon, you will be returned to your place of stay in Gabes, with unforgettable memories of your camel trekking experience in the desert.

Day 1:

Pick-up at your place of stay in Gabes at 7:30 a.m.

Transfer to Douz and meeting with your Bedouin guides and their camels.

Beginning of the camel trek, about two hours of walking.

Lunch break prepared by the camel driver.

Continuation of the walk for about three hours in the white sand dunes.

Installation of the bivouac for the night in the desert, dinner and night in individual tents.
Day 2:

Breakfast and departure for the return to Douz.

Resumption of the hike about three hours of walking to reach Douz.

Lunch break with the camel driver.

Continuation of the walk to find Douz.

Return transfer to your place of stay in Gabès, around 5:30 p.m.
