Your adventure will begin early in the morning, with a 6:30 AM pickup from your location in Gabes.
Arrival in Douz around 9am, you will be welcomed by your camel guide and his dromedaries, ready to take you on a unique experience in the heart of the desert.
You will cross sand dunes, arid plains and picturesque oases, letting yourself be guided by the tranquility and beauty of the desert.
In the middle of the day, you will take a break for lunch and regain strength. Take advantage of this time to rest and enjoy a traditional meal prepared by your camel guide.
After lunch, you will continue your hike to the bivouac where you will spend the night. Immerse yourself in the magical ambience of the desert, with the soothing silence and twinkling stars above you. A delicious dinner will be prepared for you, accompanied by music and traditional songs.

At sunrise, you will be awakened by the soft sounds of the desert.
Enjoy an invigorating breakfast before resuming your camel trek.
 
Continue to explore the natural wonders of the desert, stopping to admire breathtaking vistas and learning the secrets of local flora and fauna.
Your camel guide will share with you knowledge about the environment and culture of the region.
 
In the middle of the day, you will take a break for lunch and rest. Take advantage of these moments of relaxation to soak up the beauty of the desert and to share convivial moments with your guide and the other participants.
 
After lunch, you will resume your hike back to the starting point in Douz.
Along the way, you can still enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and the serene atmosphere of the desert.
 
At the end of the afternoon, you will be driven back to your place of stay in Gabes, with unforgettable memories of your camel trekking experience in the desert.

BIVOUAC AND NIGHT IN THE DESERT IN DOUZ

Day 1:

  • Pick-up at your place of stay in Gabes at 7:30 a.m.

  • Transfer to Douz and meeting with your Bedouin guides and their camels

  • Beginning of the camel trek, about two hours of walking

  • Lunch break prepared by the camel driver

  • Continuation of the walk for about three hours in the white sand dunes

  • Installation of the bivouac for the night in the desert, dinner and night in individual tents

Day 2:

  • Breakfast and departure for the return to Douz

  • Resumption of the hike about three hours of walking to reach Douz

  • Lunch break with the camel driver

  • Continuation of the walk to find Douz

  • Return transfer to your place of stay in Gabès, around 5:30 p.m.
