You will leave in the direction of mountain oases, where enchanting landscapes await you. You will first visit Chebika, a picturesque oasis nestled between the mountains, offering natural springs and breathtaking panoramas.

Next, you will drive to Tamerza, where you will be amazed by its majestic waterfalls and peaceful ambience.

 

Finally, you will explore Mides, renowned for its impressive canyons and rocky landscapes. After a lunch break in Tamerza to regain strength, you will have the opportunity to visit the Star Wars sets, including the famous "Mos Espa" in the desert, as well as the site of Ong Jmal. You will end this day in style by admiring the sunset over the desert landscapes.

 

You will spend the night in a bed and breakfast hotel in Tozeur, where you can relax and prepare for the days ahead.

The second day, after a delicious breakfast, you will leave in the direction of Douz, the "gateway to the desert".

Along the way, you will cross the famous Chott El Jerid, a huge salt lake that offers breathtaking views.

In Douz, you will discover the irrigation system of the palm grove, a fascinating example of traditional agriculture in the region.

You will also visit the petrified dunes, testifying to the geological history of this arid land.
You will stop at a restaurant in Douz for lunch and feast on local dishes.

Then, you will have the opportunity to live an authentic experience by hiking on camel back between the green oases and the golden sand dunes.

At the end of the afternoon, you will leave for Ksar Ghilane, following the track or the road, depending on the season.
Once you arrive, you will have free time to visit the hot spring and relax.
In the evening, you will reach a camp in the desert, where you will dine under the stars and spend a magical night in a traditional Berber tent.

On the third day, after your breakfast, you will have free time to explore the vast dunes of the Eastern Sahara. Soak up the unique atmosphere of the desert, listen to the soothing silence and feel the grandeur of these timeless landscapes.
The trip will continue with the visit of Ksar Ouled Soltane, an impressive historical fortress. You will discover the architectural ingenuity of this building, with its interior courtyards, its vaulted cellars and its characteristic defensive elements.
Then, you will leave in the direction of Chenini, a traditional Berber village perched on a hill.
During the guided tour, you will discover the authentic architecture of this village, characterized by its stone houses and narrow streets. Stroll through the picturesque alleys and admire the panoramic view of the surroundings from the heights of Chenini.
After this enriching visit, you will have a lunch break in a restaurant located in the village of Guermassa. You will have the opportunity to taste local dishes prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients, giving you a taste of the delicious regional cuisine.
Finally, you will visit the Ksar Hadada, another fascinating example of the region's traditional architecture. This ksar is famous for its crescent-shaped structure, offering a unique atmosphere.
You will spend the night there, you will live an authentic experience by staying in these dwellings carved into the rock, offering rustic comfort and a unique atmosphere.

On the fourth day, after a hearty breakfast, you will leave for Matmata, an essential stop on your tour. Matmata is famous for its troglodyte houses, carved into the sides of the hills, offering unique dwellings and a fascinating architectural experience.

You will visit the cave houses and learn about their traditional way of life. Be sure to visit the Berber Museum to learn more about local culture and traditions.

Then, you will have lunch in a restaurant in Matmata, where you will have the opportunity to taste tasty regional dishes, highlighting local flavors and spices.

After lunch, you will head to Tozeur, where your tour will end.
You will be dropped off at your place of stay or at the airport, with incredible memories of your adventure in southern Tunisia.

Day 1

  • Pick up at your place of stay or at Tozeur airport and departure for the mountain oases.

  • Visit the oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides.

  • Lunch at Tamerza.

  • Visit the Star War set "Mos Espa" in the desert and Ong Jmal.

  • Dinner and night at the gite hotel in Tozeur.

Day 2

  • Departure for Douz.

  • Crossing the Chott El Jerid, the salt lake.
