5-Day Trek in the Tunisian Desert
Day 1: Tozeur > Douz
Your adventure begins with a pick-up in Tozeur and a 4x4 transfer to Douz.
You then begin your hike to Bir Abdallah, at the entrance to the large erg.
After lunch with the camel drivers, you will continue the trek before settling in the dunes for the night.
Dinner and overnight in the desert under a starry sky.
Days 2 to 4:
These days are devoted to hiking through the eastern erg, a fascinating desert landscape of towering dunes.
Along the way, you pass by the Tin Eswan gours basin and a hot spring that feeds a small lake, a true paradise for waterfowl.

Your destination is Tembaine Mountain.
The ascent of this summit offers a spectacular panoramic view of the vastness of the desert, a moment that will remain etched in your memory.

Day 5: Tembaine Mountain > Douz/Nouïl > Tozeur
After breakfast, you are transferred by 4x4 from the mountain of Tembaine to Douz / Nouïl.

A last meal is planned at the camp before your transfer back to Tozeur, marking the end of this unique adventure.

Highlights This hike offers an intense change of scenery in the heart of the eastern erg.
Highlights include the discovery of a hot spring lost in the middle of the sands, the ascent of the mountain of Tembaine and the crossing of breathtaking desert landscapes.

Note: In this version of the hike, the trek, participants walk only, and camels are used for carrying luggage.

If necessary, an "emergency" dromedary can be relieved to carry a participant.
