FROM ZARZIS - 2 DAYS AT THE SAHARA FESTIVAL OF DOUZ
Day 1 :
On the first day of your Douz Sahara Festival tour, you will leave your place of stay in Zarzis at 7:30 am in the direction of Douz.
Once you arrive in Douz, you will have free time to explore the town and enjoy the lively festival atmosphere.
You can have lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the festival grounds.
You will spend the night at the hotel or in a Saharan camp, depending on availability.
Day 2:
After a delicious breakfast, you will leave for the city center of Douz to enjoy the morning entertainment of the festival.
You will have the opportunity to discover different cultural and artistic activities offered during the event.
Then, you will take the road to Matmata via Tamezret, where you can admire the picturesque landscapes.
You will have lunch with the locals in Tamezret to taste the local cuisine. Next, you will visit a troglodyte house in Matmata, which served as the setting for the Star Wars movie.
At the end of the day, you will head towards Zarzis via Médenine and you will be dropped off at your place of stay at the end of the afternoon.
This two-day tour will allow you to fully experience the Festival du Sahara de Douz, learning about Saharan traditions and attending unique cultural performances.
You will also have the opportunity to visit emblematic sites of the region, such as the troglodyte houses of Matmata.
